You don’t have to be a member of the League to come to our meetings. We sponsor issue forums and candidate forums. Our board meetings are open. We have an active Affordable Housing team. There are several issue-related study groups convening in our area.
See our LWV Events/Calendar Page
Affordable Housing Team
Co-directed by long-time members, Sue Russell and Donna Yobs, the team monitors new condo and apartment developments in the Los Altos – Mountain View Area to insure Below Market Rate (BMR) housing units are included. The group advocates for zoning changes and other local ordinance changes which would increase the supply of affordable housing for the economically disadvantaged, families, and seniors.
