California Initiative & Referendum Process

After three study sessions, local LWVLAMV League members met Tuesday night, February 26, 2013 at Foothills Congregational Church to wrap up their LWVC study on if and how to modify the California Initiative and Referendum process. For this most recent state study, fourteen study questions were considered and consensus was found, sometimes quickly, other times with considerable discussion. The results will be sent to LWVC where the State League will review the input from Leagues from all around the state and will craft a position to be ratified at the State Convention in May.
