Are schools what we want them to be?

A public meeting will be held on Sunday, November 14, 3-6pm in the Garden House at Shoup Park in Los Altos. Join the discussion and participate in updating the California League of Woment Voters positions on education policy.

Los Altos - Mountain View League of Women Voters invites its membership and the general public to join in a dynamic discussion of education in California today. Local education leaders and policy makers, including Stanford University's Michael Kirst, will engage participants in a review of school finance, accountability and governance, as well as delve into issues regarding equity, learning readiness, and school choice. League members have a special opportunity to contribute to updating the League's 20-year-old consensus positions by working together through a series of five rigorous study questions. The public is invited to observe the consensus process. No charge for admission. Babysitting available.
